The first grade sang for Peruvian Park Elementary on Wednesday. Their theme was caring. Carson told the school, "I show caring by never being mean or hurtful." Some great advice for everyone!
Quinton joined the Peruvian Park school choir this year, and has been staying after school rehearsing for months. We loved hearing him sing all the traditional Christmas carols: The Christmas Song, Winter Wonderland, Let It Snow, Silver Bells, I'm Gettin' Nothin' for Christmas, and more.
"I loved it! I'm definately going to do choir again next year!" remarked Quinton after their performance and pizza party... (I really hope he gets the musical gene from his father, 'cause I surely don't have it.)
After the choir performance, Eden surprised us as soon as we got home by singing, "mommy and daddy are mad... I'm gettin' nothin' for Christmas!" We loved that she had heard the choir sing the song and remembered it. The next day, she sang "I broke a bat on Jonny's head." We have got to get it on video!!!
Eden's Winner School program was also really fun. Here she is getting ready for their grand entrance.
Once she came into her classroom and spotted her daddy, it was all over. She ran to him and forgot about the performance. Later, we were able to get her to sit with daddy and start singing with her class.Aren't these two year olds darling? I've gotten to know them all as their new preschool teacher. Its been really fun for me, but a little hard for Eden to share her mommy.
Here she is proudly singing Jingle Bells while ringing bells in her hand.
Afterwards, she gave Miss Sharon a big hug!
Her party wrapped up with frosting cookies with pink punch. Yum!!!
As proud parents, Jon and I, really enjoyed watching each or our children perform. Their confidence and talents are growing every year!!!
How fun! They look so darn cute in their Christmas clothes! That picture of Edie sitting on Dad's lap is SO stinkin' cute!! I'm so glad that Quinton has inherited the musical gene from the McFarland side of the family! Maybe Dad can break out his guitar on Christmas so we can sing some Christmas songs! :) Can't wait to see you guys in a few days! XO
