Soccer, Soccer, Soccer!

I've neglected to post pictures of our  soccer star, Quinton!  He has been playing for Sparta United's competitive league for the last three years.  He started before Eden was born!  AND, he has been good enough to make the team each year since.  They've kept the same coach, Kelly, for three years and many of the players have stayed as well.  They really got lucky with such a supportive coach. So far this age group has not started traveling great distances for tournaments, so the games have all been fairly close.  They play year round.  In fact they trained twice per week and had indoor weekend games from November to March this past winter.

It's so exciting to watch him play! I still get really nervous and can hardly stand to watch.  This past Saturday they won 5-6 and the lead changed three different time and they were tied twice!  I was a nervous wreck...  It was great for them to get the win, they played really well together.

We are really proud of you Quinton!  We respect your dedication to training, team loyalty and your postive attitude!

You're always a winner in our book!!!

Spring School Programs

Carson and Quinton each had their spring school programs in April.  They were so fun!  Carson had a speaking part as a "story teller" (Boy, if that doesn't describe him to a "T"). Anyhow, he spoke so loud and clear, that must he Jon Carter's little boy!  We were very proud of him!

The darling little friend speaking before him is Madison.  They've become quite special friends this year! She may have been his valentine!

Eden wanted to know if the boys would be singing "Gettin' Nottin' for Christmas!"

Quinton's third grade class performed in a pair of school assemblies.  They've been studying French once a week all year and sang one of their songs in French.
Great job, boys!  Love ya!!!

Eccles Dinosaur Park

While visiting Grandma Margaret, during Jon's fishing trip, we took the kids to the Ogden Dinosaur park.  We had not been up there for years and I had forgotten how much fun it could be.  Not only are the exhibits very life like, but they have an awesome park for the kids to play in.  While there, I used our new camerea and got some really great pictures of the kids....What a fun day!!!

Let's Go Fly A Kite!

During Jon's April fishing trip, the kids and I spent lots of time enjoying the spring weather outside.  Here's Quinton with his awesome dragon kite.  Stephanie gave the boys these cool dragon kites for Christmas and we had a ball flying them!  Thanks, Stephanie!

Eden and Carson played with bubbles in the beautiful sunshine!

We love the Spring!!!

The Funiest Thing I Heard Today!

When I was checking Eden out of dayschool today, I asked Miss Brooke, her teacher, to sign Eden out.  Edie turned to her and said, "I'm E-D-E-N!" by spelling out her name.  The teacher almost choked she was laughing so hard at this funny little 2 1/2 year old little girl who could spell her own name!

Easter Egg Hunt at Grandma's House

McFarland Family - Easter 2010

Grandma Margaret held her annual Easter dinner and egg hunt.  As usual it was a wonderful day spent with all of our family!
Kiana and Carson
Kiana was really having a hard time warming up to everyone...Enter Carson, he seems to make it his mission in life to make others happy.  He had her giggling all day long!

That's Carson speak as he started out on the Easter egg hunt.  Look closely at Quinton ready to pounce behind him.
I love their enthusiasm for life!

Eden was really into the hunt this year.

Eden had to take a break from all that hunting to check out what was in her basket!
So sweet!

"Carson, Carson, get that one!"
After all the eggs had been found, Eden just wanted to hide them again.  She told us to go inside and started spreading her eggs out again.
Note to self:  Two year olds don't really care what's inside the eggs. They just love the thrill of finding them!

Kaysha is expecting a baby brother for Kiana in two months.  You would never have guessed it based on how small she is!  We can't wait to meet baby Merick!
