Short Hike on North Ogden Pass

On Saturday, we went up to Ogden to visit Grandma Margaret.  We took a short hike up on North Odgen pass and captured these beautiful photos.

We picked all these beautiful fall leaves for bouquets for our homes, but mother nature bit us back.  We got back to Grams house and discovered that they were crawling with aphids.  EEEEkkkk!  We all bathed, washed our clothes and vacuumed my car over and over and over!
 Three darling kids!
Before going home we drove through the valley and when I drove past this sign at the Eden park, I had to turn around and take this shot!  Darling!

Our Visit to Cornbellly's Corn Maze and Festival

During the long UEA break, Jon headed back to the mountains for a second weekend of elk hunting.  While the kids and I kept busy with lots of activities.  We had never been to the Conrbelly corn maze and festival at Thanksgiving Point, but after our fun-filled day I would never again want to miss visiting there each October.  It was that much fun!
Pumpkin Princesses
There was an entire princess area complete with a queen awaiting visitors in her carriage and a unicorn.  They even had princess dresses for all the little visitors.... Too cute!

Our trip through the corn maze!  It was even a little creepy during the daylight.  I would be really apprehensive after dark.

Carson is just to handsome!

Corn Cob Blasters!
(Jon and Erik, we really missed you here!  You would have had a ball with Quinton and Carson!)

Pumpking Cannons!  Fire!!!!

When Carson hit the target (an old junker car) the pumpkin exploded!!!  He was thrilled!!!
The Haunted Creature
Quinton and Carson braved the walk through... but Carson took an early side exit!

Giant Corn Volleyball!

Giant Slides

Baby slides for girls with broken arms!
Duck Races!

Tire swings

Eden loved the cow train ride!

Panning for gem stones!
Princess Eden
I didn't get pictures, but we had a fabulous hay ride at dusk.  We also played pumpkin tetherball, watched a mechanical bull (Eden loved and hated it!), and saw amazing carved pumpkins!  We missed the piggy races, but hope to catch them next time.

Truely such a fabulously fun filled day!!! We really missed having Jon with us,but I loved spending the beautiful fall weekend playing with the kids.  Only recently have I started trusting myself to take them places without Jon.  I've always been so worried about one getting lost or heaven forbid public tantrums!  But they are now finally old enough and responsible enough to stick together and to try everything as a group.  I am so blessed to have such good kids!

Quinton has invited friends for a belated birthday party to the haunted Fablehaven maze and Cornbelly's next weekend.  And the kids are begging Jon to take them out again on another fall afternoon, so we may not be through with the festival yet!  I hope not!!!
