Happy Birthday Jon!

We celebrated Jon's birthday on June 8th at... Bonsai Steakhouse, our favorite celebration restaurant! Yummmm!
We always have so much fun here and our kids actually EAT the food!
We were joined by Stephanie and Brad for the festivities. Yeah! They've learned to share our love of Bonsai!
Eden loves the noodles and is great with chopsticks!
Jon's got shrimp catching SKILL!!!
Quinton just misses his shrimp, but his hair caught it!
Sorry Brad, but we did not get a picture of you catching shrimp...camera glitch, but we know you've got skill.
Carson banged the birthday gong really LOUD, while we sang "Happy Birthday!"
Jon shared his birthday cake with Carson, since Carson did not have a cake during our vacation last month.
He'll huff and he'll puff and he'll blow....
Carson wanted the piece with his name on it!
Eden thinks Brad is "so silly!"
Happy Birthday Jon!

Welcome Cousin Marek!

A new cousin arrived on May 27th when my beautiful neice Kaysha gave birth to little Marek! He is so tiny,  only 6lbs, 3 oz.  and has beautiful dark hair.
Great Grandma Margaret with her 3rd great grand child!
Big sister Kiana and her cousin Eden!

These darling cousins had a ball playing together!
Congratulations Kaysha, we're glad that Marek has joined our familly and that you're feeling better now that he is here!  Love you all!

Quinton's Choir Concert

The year end choir concert at Peruvian Park was great!  They sang songs from every decade starting with the 40's and "Take Me Out to the Ball Game".  Other songs included: We Got the Beat, ABC, Imagine, Who Put the Bomp, Dont Stop Thinkin' About Tomorrow, and When We Wish Upon a Star.  So Fun!
We are really proud of Quinton for staying after school and participating.  Its been a great experience for him to meet other kids from higher grades.

Eden Loves Mikana!
We snapped this picture at the concert... This little classmate of Quinton's has become Eden's special friend.  Every morning when Quinton jumped out of my car, Eden would say, "Tell Mikana I lav you!"  Then every afternoon when we would pick the boys up Eden would say, "I hope I see Mikana!".  Darling!

Memorial Day

BB gun target practice was the main event on our Memorial Day picnic.  Since Carson got his own Red Rider BB gun last Christmas, he is now much more interested in target practice.  They obliderated the pop can that they were shooting at!

Like father, like sons!

Preschool Swim Party

On the last day of preschool, we had a "swimming" party for the kiddo's.  There really wasn't much swimming going on because they are only two and three, but we had little wading pools for them. It was still a little chilly, so I'm glad they chose not to get too wet.
These kids also love the playground toys at the school and just enjoyed some time playing on them.
We also had a bounce house inside our classroom that the kids loved! We ended the party with a picnic and lots of hugs to celebrate the year end.  Preschool Rocks!
I have loved being a preschool teacher in Eden's class this year.  It seemed like a crazy idea when I made that phone call about the job, but it all worked out really well.  I feel so blessed to have found a job that allowed me to bring Eden with me thus avoiding putting her in daycare.  I have loved the children in our classes and learned a lot about myself.  "Miss Cidny" was certainly a new role that I was uncertain about, but felt like it went really well.  I may never have the opportunity to be her teacher again, but have absolutely loved being both her teacher and mother while watching her develop relationships, learn, and play!

Eden's Un-Birthday Party!

We celebrated an un-birthday for Eden before preschool ended since she has a July birthday.  Here are a few darling shots from her "spotlight birthday".
As luck would have it, they made sun crown headbands for their art projects.  Doesn't she look darling in her crown?  She's starting to get the hang of posing for pictures.
Eden loves Miss Sharron
Eden's mommy, or Miss Cidny, read a few of Eden's favorite stories to her class and brought treats!  Donuts!!!
